I tried to get invovled (I've always been on LSIC or PTO) and was excluded. I would show up for parent meetings and plannings of activities, leave a contact number and address and never hear about upcoming meetings, plannings, etc. In addition, with a teacher that is near retirement, I've had many days my child has come home and said the class literally did zippo! Every Parent-teacher meeting, when I inquire about curriculum that I know would be taught at other county/state schools (I'm from another state) the teacher would reply they do not teach that because it is not on the WASL.
