I love books that make you think. One day I'd like to write one. I also like sports. I'd played tennis in college and have been lucky enough to make a living teaching tennis before going back to school to study creative writing. I'm also really into skiing, and more recently, rock-climbing.

I grew up in New Jersey, went to college in Ohio, taught English in Prague, did Americorps in Newark, lived in Manhattan and recently moved to Spokane, WA for graduate school.

So, I really like new places and new experiences. I do want to settle down, but not for a few more years.

I'm fairly liberal, and enjoy a good political argument. I don't mind if you're conservative foreign policy wise, though you better be able to back up any hawkish views with more than just boilerplate. Social conservatives and I don't mix to well.

My friends say I can have an obnoxious sense of humor, though I'm sure they mean in a clever and charming way. I tend to be exceedingly nice and polite at first, though.

Hiya, I am looking for friends, companions, activity, travel partners or romance...not necessarily in that order. I live in Spokane. I am soooo happy to finally be here. The Pacific Northwest is wonderful as I am a trees and water kinda soul but then again, I have lots of friends from San Luis Obispo to Idaho and love to go visiting. I have traveled to lots of great areas and just fell in love with the each place, pace and people. I live to learn and travel. All the trails in the area are a great thing and I want to get out on them more when the weather clears.

Life, however, seems to always have other plans for me. I get to do a lot of the learning part which seems to interfere with the travel part. I get along easily with everyone and wish for the warmth that comes with a great friends and who knows, maybe a great relationship. I am in the market for a boat to sail away to shores near and far. Well, lets start with near and work on it from there. The ocean is a positive bet for sure, someday.

I like outdoor activities like sporting events, fishing, gardening, camping, golf amongst others. Like the indoor activities of cooking, fixing things, DVD's, movies, dancing in the living room, ect...

I love a witty conversations and mild verbal sparring as well as discussing somewhat abstract concepts. I am an engineering tech by training but never stuck with the discipline. Ended up making a career in medicine with a few fires thrown in here and there. With that I got the best of both worlds, linear and dynamic thinking. Some might find that a little ironic but when you think about it, the body is just like a bunch of linear subsystems always changing. The art of Medicine is just tweaking the little systems to fix the big ones.

I have 2 passions in my life, first and foremost THEATRE; acting, singing, dancing and hopefully soon directing, and the other is massage therapy which is my day to day job. I love to go to dinner and drink wine/beer/cocktails with my friends, but I also love staying in and watching movies or playing board games. I'm definitely eclectic in my interests and am always up for trying something new.

I've been through a lot in my life, but I think I'm all the more stronger for it. I've even thought about writing a play or screenplay about it some day. Since I've been through these trials and tribulations in my life I guess you could say I have a little baggage, but lets be honest....if someone gets to be my age and hasn't been through much in their life they're probably slightly boring. I'd rather be with someone that has a story to tell also or atleast appreciates that I haven't always taken the safe path and am a richer person for it. No I'm not talking monetarily....

I have a large vocabulary. I will laugh at myself if I confuse you. I have learned not to be condescending when someone makes a mistake in grammar or vocabulary usage, it took a while because it's what I grew up with. I read a lot.

However, winking is ambiguous by the way... I have realized recently that the more I write, the less people will really know about me. Well let's see.....I've been at the same job for over 10 years and plan on staying there until I am unable to work anymore. I sometimes have to work long hours during the week but I have every weekend off. On Sundays I like to watch football, although this year has been a bit rough with my poor Seahawks during so poorly. I'm certainly not a big drinker but I like to go out sometimes for a few drinks dancing. I like going out to the movies, although I'd prefer a DVD and cuddling on the couch.

I'm a bit shy when first getting to know someone, but after that I am a big goof. I love to laugh and joke around, but can be serious if the moment calls for it. I love affection (who doesn't) and feel its important to give your loved one a few seconds of your time when one of you comes home. Ok, so I am going to be honest, in the hopes that there is someone out there who is interested in having a friend and possible lover who isn't perfect. I'm going to school. its an alternative school for adults. i was diagnosed with ERD (Emotional Regulation Disorder) it messes with your moods and how reality is filtered through whatever mood your in. the classes in the IOP program serve to educate adults and give them tools to cope and work around the disorder. its really fun. its like going to collage for psychology but on a more relaxed basis. im working for my certificates for the required classes and look forward to graduating.

once i graduate IOP i plan to move back to Seattle and go to collage for P.I. Training.

Hello, I am from Spokane, WA which is out in the middle of nowhere. Considering I am from Seattle, NYC, and LA, I am not used to being out here. I left the city life to run a hotel for my family so I guess in the end it will all be worth it?

Me me me me I I I I. I don't do self summaries but I don't want to leave it blank so here's my version of myself. I'm very laid back yet passionate. I try not to let the little things in life take control because there are lots of them. Acceptance is the answer to all of my problems today. I will do almost anything to help out a good friend. I've had a lot of ups and downs in my life but it is my belief that these are the things that shape and mold us and make us the beautiful people we all (well most of us) are. I absolutely one hundred and ten percent do not believe in government, well at least our own, and believe that the Bush administration planned and orchestrated 9/11. Have you read the 9/11 commission report? Or seen the movie Zeitgeist.com?? Besides I've been in Iraq and seen firsthand the hundreds of lives taken in an extremely lame and unsuccessful attempt at uncovering and killing any terrorists that may or may not have been there. I am also very happy 1. Because I voted for the President-elect 2. Because I think he and his staff is willing to make the sacrifices necessary to implement change in our government. Any type of put downs, hatred or racism of any kind will not be tolerated around me. I'm a homebody that tries to take life have fun to the fullest. I love to go out party without drugs but I also like my personal time. I love music all types but there has to be a good beat and lyrics. The music they're making these days is garbage fitting to our society based upon sex drugs power money and power ohh did I mention power. I really like comedies the ones that make you laugh so hard until it feels like you've done a thousand sit-ups and almost peed yourself. Are those happy tissues or sad tissues?? LOL I cannot dance at all but I'm going to learn. Great rhythm absolutely no skills I have two left feet. I have an 8 week old baby girl that is the love of my life. She is so beautiful and makes my heart melt everytime she laughs cries poops grunts just about anything and everything. So that's a start if I sound interesting than do what feels right.

I think the real question would be what donâ??t I like to do. I really enjoy so much stuff that it is crazy, I am the kind of person that wants to try everything once to see if I like it or not. To give people an ideal of what I like, well it goes a little like this biking, running, camping, shooting, hiking, tennis, mountain golfing, driving, motorcycles, swimming, working and I could keep going.

I'm a Gonzaga grad who just finished working in Yellowstone National Park. I love being outdoors, hiking and camping and such. I'm usually very social and like hanging out with friends but I can be kind of shy and standoffish at the same time.

I'm a married mom and I was curious to see how this site worked, simply to help out an awesome cousin of mine who thought this site was pretty cool. I was then sucked in, by the quizzes and questions and interesting folks. I'm only here for friendship, conversation, camaraderie...no big whoop.

Im someone who loves to get out, go to movies, go bowling, go out to the bar every now and then, and just get out to have fun. Love football, and video games too! Just moved back home to Spokane! Looking for some new friends (or more) or some good people to chat to over the internet. I have a sarcastic personality, and love to point out and laugh at life's absurdities. I have a habit of thinking too much ( I was a Philosophy major for a while in college until I realized a useful degree would probably be a better use of my money). I love the outdoors, the mountains, music, and actual conversations with people. I've learned over the last couple years that I actually do really well alone, but I don't really like living that way. I name my guitars and they're the only physical thing I'm really attached to. I don't see the point in blindly following rules just because they're there. I get along best with people who think for themselves, and have a good balance between being impulsive and being able to take it easy. I have a lot of respect for religion and don't mind religious folks, but religious people tend to end up having a problem with me for some reason. I'm relatively smart, but not as sharp as I used to be, which I see as a good thing because I'm a lot less arrogant than i used to be too. Used to be into gaming, fell out of it due to that whole needing to pay for food thing, like my life better now that I'm don't have an electronic addiction. I do some writing, but I hate mediocrity in my own work so it comes very slowly.

On the relationship side of things, I've had some bad experiences recently and I'm not really looking for something serious at the moment. Fullmetal Alchemist, Ghost in the Shell, Family Guy... There are many more, of course. You should also know that with the few girlfriends I've had, they've never been put on hold for a video game. For me, love takes precedence over all. I also love the prefix "pseudo". Not only does it sound cool, it adds a dimension of unrealism to things. I don't care if unrealism isn't a real word. I'm using it anyways. Thus, it's now a pseudoword. (And apparently, pseudoword is also a pseudoword. Yes, I see the red dotted lines under them.)

Of course, you're probably not reading anymore by this point. You probably looked at my picture, and either decided to send me a flirt, or moved on. First off, allow me the pleasure of giving my name; Paul James Edward Bond IV. Yes, I very much enjoy doing that; but can you blame me? I should hope not. Secondly, I'd just like to say that I'm very personable; making friends is to me as fabulous is to any drag queen worth her stilettos.

As I've given an example, I have a very unique sense of humor not easily matched. Think of it as a "hit'n'run" kind of funny. I'll be talking, out of nowhere say something humorous... ... ... then it catches up with everyone. Often times it's stupid humor, or just situational jokes, but it passes the time and makes those around me smile; goal accomplished. Insofar as my romanticism goes, I believe that Jay Brannan covers my feelings more than aptly in his song "Can't have it all"

The butter or the bread knife? Do you choose winter, spring, summer or fall? It's driving me crazy, that I can't have it all.

Lyrical expression beside, I'm rather artistically inclined myself. I write lots of poetry and quite a few short stories. I greatly enjoy shooting photos, and subsequently editing the hell out of them. On top of that I also garner some fun out of more traditional additive and subtractive works; pencil drawings and scratchboard pieces, respectively. I used to shape clay and create some rather interesting wire sculptures and jewelry.

Moreover, sculpting physical objects isn't the only thing I savor. The English language is finespun art. It takes moxie, finesse and creativity to hone your words like serrated blades. I draw from a rather populous vernacular and have descried some rather exiguous reasons to metaphorically cleave your head from your shoulders with a vorpal rendition of sarcasm and whit.

So it is to say that I know my share about speechcraft and can phrase a turn with the best of them.

I do well in social settings, keeping the conversation flowing; as well as in intimate situations, where I can flounder hopelessly in a rut of blushing while stumbling over my words and manage to get up to two... maybe even three whole sentences out. I'd like to see Martha do that.

My ideal day would be as thus:

In the morning it would be misty, no birds twittering annoyingly to break the serene facade of stillness. I would be walking down a dusty gravel road in the middle of a forest after having just showered. The smell of rain washing away the whole of reality around me. The day would progress into an almost shy warmth, the sun peeking into the sky only after noon. In the early afternoon I would find a nice place to sit down; in a grove or clearing of some sort for a picnic and a nap in the pre-autumn glory. As evening rolls around I would wake up and stroll back to my residence for an early dinner to be enjoyed over a good movie with either a friend or a loved one. After the movie we would laze around on the couch or floor and talk about nothing in particular until the middle of the night and just fall asleep where we sit.

I know very few people probably have read this far, and I apologize to those who have, but there's just a little more that I'd like to write down.

My favorite number is 9; for the reason that has an odd way of suffusing my life with some crazy sort of cosmic order and randomness. Into the mix, my favorite letter is V; for the sake that so many of my favorite appallingly descriptive words begin with it. It's often overlooked... am I the only one to notice that overlook and oversee should mean the same thing, yet have almost polar definitions?

I'm just a normal guy, down to earth, disarmingly nice, charming at times, sweet enough to give you diabetes, sarcastic enough to give you cancer, with a whit and force of personality to leave you deaf, dumb and dead to the world; and yet sunder open your perceptions about it coevally.

I am 33 i live here in spokane with my dog harley and my cat diddles. I like to go out or just lay down and relax in front of the Tv. I enjoy learing new thing at times depending how challeging. I enjoy the outdoors like fishing and racing.

I have spent a lot of time exploring what I want, exploring the world, and figuring out what to do with my life. Now that I've found all that - I've realized that I pretty much have everything but a person to share it with. I'm very independent, but am looking for a partner who complements me (and vice versa). I would love to have a family that I can share and enjoy life and experiences with. I am very giving, and loving, and would love to find someone who is as well. I dont need to be spoiled, but its nice to have a partner who spoils you a bit... I like to spoil my partner but want a balance so I dont feel like I'm being taken advantage of - I just want to share and have a mutually respectful and mutually giving partnership with someone. I can't stand laziness and sloppiness...

Generally, I feel like life should be about balance. Balance the responsibility of paying the bills, maintaining the budget, and building savings - with the fun of splurging on something really cool or really fun.... the balance of seriousness with laughter... the balance of relaxing at home and the fun of being out and about...

Now for more fun sounding things... I do love to relax at home. I am very detail oriented and goal oriented - when I set out to do something I really just like to DO it and see the progress and results, and then be done with it and move on to another project. I almost always have a project going whether it be re-finishing some furniture or working on a scrapbook. Is that nerdy? haha... BUT i also love to explore and enjoy life. I love to camp and hike (though I am by no means hardcore at either of these), and I enjoy to travel. A fun weekend for me might involve spending a day at home getting little projects done that NEED to be done - and then getting out for a day doing something I WANT to do like taking a drive out somewhere new and exploring a cute little town or something.

I am not a hardcore athlete but I like to stay active... I love the water, anything that involves being on, near, or in it is pretty good with me. I used to play recreational ice hockey and would love to get back into it... snowboarding too - it's been too long since I've been! I like to get outdoors with my dog or taking a leisurely bike-ride somewhere scenic. I like to stay healthy and try do my best with food and exercise ...

Sorry! It might sound like I'm babbling... but I do tend to talk alot so I guess that's something you should find out now. Also - I guess I'm just tryin to be frank about myself... if you share some of these qualities you'll totally understand what I'm saying and why that stuff is important and who knows... maybe we could be a match. If you do not share (and maybe are annoyed) by these qualities - well then we're probly not a match so maybe its best to just be up front about that stuff....

I mostly try to live life to the fullest. There do come times, however, if I can help it, when I like to unwind. That's when I usually get creative--either for leisure or something more. General activities include camping, swimming, hiking, bicycle riding, dancing, theater- and movie-watching and perhaps more. Oh, I also like to write--couldn't you tell?
