          LeAne Austin is a freelance writer and photographer with a gift for capturing moments that are both unique and moving.  She sees the world through her own special brand of rose-colored glasses to bring out the essential beauty of her subjects. 

          Her first book, a collection of essays for women entitled, "Rooms Where I Live," was published in 2004 by Luminary Group.  Her writing and photographs have been published in the Pacific NW Inlander, The Garland Villager, The Exchange, Caregiver Magazine, Oregon Herald eForum, and Sensual Venus, with works pending publication in Oregon Literary Review and In The Fray Literary magazine.  She hopes to be a full-time artist in the coming years.

          She lives in Eastern Washington with her children and an assortment of animals.
